Freaky Friday

Did you ever have that feeling of panic before? I'm sure you have but this type of panic is different. This type of panic is when you are scared for your life. Well, not really your life but your mind makes you feel that way. Still don't get it? For example, when there is a big hurricane everybody is talking about and you have to evacuate your location. Or when you are going to a foreign country and something goes wrong. It's times like these where you just say a quick prayer that goes something like "God please keep me safe! There is so much I want to do in life! I thought you had more plans for me!"
This Friday I heard many people talking about a fight coming from another school to our school. I freaked out. There were a lot of school safety patrol people everywhere and people were talking like "Bye! I'll see you Monday... hopefully...."

Before I proceed I must tell you that my mind prepares me for the definite worst. Even though it wasn't that bad, I was scared as heck that day.

Seriously everything just got me so scared I didn't even want to leave my classroom to go and "release the elements" even though I had to so badly. In biology, I couldn't even focus on the most easiest lesson in the world (food chains!) While I was going to biology however, my friend told me that she knew someone who said some of the kids were actually in the school already! Every time the door opened in my classroom I would check to see who it is. I was that scared okay?! I heard people talking about coming out of the school building and seeing people waiting to beat you up.  I already planned the way I would run to my dad's car. I was even disappointed in how I wasn't wearing my running shoes.
Fast forward and I'm at home typing this post while just finishing a chicken noodle soup. I got to say, I really scared myself! But seriously some seniors were scared. I just hope something like this doesn't happen again or else I will make myself faint. Hopefully, next time this happens I would stay calm (yeah right.) At the end, I heard nothing really ever happened. Those are the type of moments that I overreact to. I pray that I don't under react to an actual serious situation (yikes!) I am just happy that everyone is safe and that it is Friday :)

Floral Nails

My voice is very nasal and I may change pitches once in a while. IT'S NATURAL WHEN YOU'RE  SICK :D I actually filmed this a while back but edited it during the Thanksgiving break. Also, you may have noticed, I didn't do my right hand. I have an excuse. It was close to dinner time and my dad hates the smell :) If you didn't get the musical ensamble thing, I like making music (with the pre played ones) on garage band and adding them in my videos. I would describe it has classical contemporary but I'll leave it up to you upon how you would describe it. Anyways, I ended test prep like I said before. I'm also starting to get situated in my school. The science teacher I used to have was a pain in my beep so my parents and I had to go through a lot with her. Detail, details, details. Eventually, I switched classes in which the students aren't all the brightest (compared to my other class for smarties.) "But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you" Matthew 5:44. So even though she is a pain, I pray she will seek God one day :)
The new teacher actually cares for the students and wants to help them do better.  I'm happy God provided me with parents that will stick up for me even though I may have done wrong. I can't handle drama from people like her on my own. My motto currently is "everything is part of His plan." Every class I am in, every person I meet, and even every conflict I come across. Talk about rambling! Sorry about that. I hope you enjoyed the video though! Love ya!

Faux Splatter Nails

Here is your Thanksgiving Gift! Enjoy!

Hang in There!

Hey guys! Sorry I haven't been posting since November 9 (I've been told) but I promise you I'll make it up to you guys. I just finished a long test prep session and battle with my biology teacher (I'll tell you about that later). That pretty much sucked the whole fun out of my October. But after the flood, out came a rainbow. Right? You should be expecting some awesome new videos and touching posts during Thanksgiving break. Thanks for the support my peeps!

My Brother

Ant reading this very post
My brother is going to hurt me for saying that he's so tall. Let's face the facts Ant, YOU ARE! My brother is very different from other brothers. Unlike most of them, he is not very bothersome. And if he is, he probably just wants to hang out with me and I'm busy doing something. Ant is humble, kind, generous, and imaginative. Most sisters yearn for a single hug from their older brother. Either they're too busy, you're not cool enough, or it's just plain awkward for them. But Ant is different. I call him Ant obviously not because of his size, but  I can't call him And! That would be so silly!
In the late 1900 (the old times), when it was just us two without Chubster things were much better. PSYCH! just kidding. We used to live in a smaller house and would play in the driveway. We had a neighbor that would watch us play while my parents were busy with something. Ant would play with his cars and I would want to play with them too. So I usually just took them away from him and he would let me. So sweet! If he didn't let me I would cry a lot. Then my neighbor would snitch on me to my parents saying I was a trouble maker and Ant was an angel. Psht! Yeah right. Ant was always a really sweet boy from the start. When we moved into our new house, Dad was asking us who wanted to get the room next to the bathroom and who wanted the room at the end of the hallway. For some strange reason we both wanted the one near the bathroom although the other room was bigger. So my dad flipped a coin and I lost. I was very sad. Another time it was who can have the ant farm in their room. Don't ask me why I would have wanted ants in the room. Once again I lost but Ant let me have them. I think later on I got kind of grossed out with them and moved them downstairs. Don't even get me started with how much imagination he has. When we were little I would see Ant on the staircase playing with little figures of all kinds. For a while he would go back and forth with those little figures and make action noises. You do not know how hard it is to express action noises in writing but I'll try. Pshhhhhhhhhhhh. Booooooom. Slap. Now do you see how hard it is for me?

Sometimes Ant and I would get into fights but nothing severe. They were always more of a bicker. Ant would be studying something and I would slowly walk in his room and scare him. But now I don't have time for those immature ANTics (see what I did there). Ant tends to have bad table manners that would always tick me off!
Here's a picture (to the right) of Ant trying to help me with math problems. By the look of his face you can conclude yourself that he later threw  the ipod away from me D:
I honestly can't recall a time where Ant and I just went at it. Especially now that school started we hardly have time to. I am just so happy God gave me a brother I could look up to (physically and mentally) I know he cares for me and is concerned for whatever choices I make. If I didn't have someone in my family that could tolerate me I would have drove them bananas! HE IS AWESOME! I LOVE YOU BRO!

How Halloween Has "Treated" Me

Here is a picture of my pre-k class. The school is the church that my church and I go to after ice skating (familiar much?) I am all the way to the right and the only one being "me" for Halloween. At least that's what I told people. All the girls were princesses and the boys were either a cop, tiger, and power ranger... I think? This is a great picture to sum up how my first school Halloween went. I looked so sad and misplaced.
Now this is how Halloween should be! This was one year after that miserable Halloween (kindergarten). I was a princess as you all can tell with my little crown. And woah! Who's that?! It's my brother in a inflated dragon contraption. I think in my school we had to walk around the neighborhood to support a cancer charity. We did it in our costumes :) I honestly don't remember too much of that day. What I do remember is a year or two after that Halloween, I was a hula girl. I just wore a grass skirt with flowers around my wrist and neck.. I didn't JUST where them  though... awkward... I specifically remember that day when I went to the bathroom and this "hot shot" fifth grader was like "what are you?" Back then, I thought fifth graders were awesome. Thinking back now, they're so ... not. They have iPhones, where make-up, and own The North Face book bags. Well, that's it for my flashbacks!

Track Diet

Here is a picture of a typical breakfast I usually eat the day of practice. You got some carbs from the whole wheat rice bread, protein in the eggs, and dairy in the milk. To stop the stitches in the stomach when I run, I like to eat bananas. They are full of good vitamins like potassium. Actually I think coconut juice has more :P ButI don't like coconuts :( Then I have my generous portion of sweets in my nutella. I then usually drink a carton of muscle milk (contains no milk D:) This meal would bring good performance and energy to a race!

What the?

Hey guys! I never posted a blog post with only writing in it so here it is. School has been going out pretty well for me.  I experienced new things. Like witnessing my first fight at lunch, getting back my first test (ps: proud 96 :D), and meeting Christians like me. I knew my school had a club called "Seekers" (which I should be joining soon now that I have my card), but I never knew Christians could be the people I am talking to everyday! My closest new friend I have around 5 classes with is someone I would have never expected. Jaime is Indian so usually they would believe things closer to their culture. I would have never guessed until I brought up the topic about the club. That was a shocker because I've never met someone like her before. So I guess now we have more to talk about :D She is planning to go to the club with me (yay.) There also is this other friend named Zachary. I met him at lunch and was thinking on the back of my head how come this boy doesn't curse?! You see, in a public school like mine, where there are different type of people all around you, I would expect some swears here and there. But no. So I knew something was a little different about him.  I really knew this when he came to school with a deerfoot lodge shirt (Christian boy camp). Since my brother went there, I was very much familiar in what it was. I only saw "eerfoo" and "odge" becuase he was wearing a hoodie :P Jaime told me that on his facebook his profile picture would be a cross and he would but Bible quotes as his status :D But it was so different to see people like me in my school. The realization would probably hit me more when I am actually in the club :) In high school, you really have to choose your friend wisely. I'm not saying you must be narrow minded and look for standards for these people. But simple know that you should hang out with people you think are nice and kind. You can still be friendly to everyone, but the ones who you tend to see more often in school are the ones you should become close with. Just hang out with the right crowd because your friends can influence  you greatly ;)
Hey guys this is a couple weeks later... school is not going so well. I am now an average student with average grades :( (ps: pitiful 76 on bio) I'm not joining the club because of biology. I don't have the time for everything. Also, my parents made me quit track for a little while but later on agreed to it again after the championships. So track is still awesome and I just had my first race... waiting for the results :D But yeah, a lot of things have changed ever since I wrote that old post :( I might not be able to do "DIY weekly" or post much. I have to focus on boring stuff and get it out of the way until I know where I'm going for the future. So, hopefully things won't be so full of :( faces later on. Later!

Inspiration for the Day

I made this myself by using a unwanted old necklace and friendship bracelet string to create this lovely bracelet. Note: I used special pliers to get the chains where I wanted them to be :)

Twisted Side Hair Tutorial

P.s This hair style was created by me! Whenever I get bored at school I play with my                                  hair :) I got this idea in gym class ;D
P.p.s I video taped everything and then asked Chubster to voice the tutorial right beforeI left for dance <3
                       P.p.p.s Thank you Chubster!!!!!!!!!!! <3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3

DIY Weekly: Customized Coasters

This creation of mine was from a little while back around last summer. It is simply turning a boring glass coaster to a creative customized one! Unfortunately last summer I didn't think of starting a blog so there aren't any step by step photos :( But there is no need for that! What I did was trace the outline of the coaster on the front of the picture with a ballpoint pen. This way, you could see how the picture or design is going to fit. Then cut it out.
On the bottom of the coaster, there should be these little rubber semi circles to give the coaster a nice grip on the surface. Roughly pluck them off (not too rough, or else they'll be flying across the room :O) Save them on the side, you're going to need them. Next, use a purple Elmer's glue stick and glue the picture. The glue will look purple at first but turn invisible as it dries. Now, put a generous glob of glue and put it on each of the little semi circles. Then place the semi circles in a triangle shape (as seen to the left). Let it dry facing up for at least 2 hours or until it is fully dried.
Finally you are done! This quick and easy DIY is great for gifts to give to friends, home decor, and more. You can either use an actual picture that is printed out, or a design. The one I have to the right is actually a card my art teacher gave me. It had a pretty cover so I used it for this coaster. This idea was created originally by me :) It's fun, easy, and convenient! Although I'm not too sure if people even still use coasters these days :-/

Floral Nails and Angular Nails

The floral nail design is so simple, I decided not to make a tutorial on it. This is a close up picture but from far way, it probably looks more like flowers. I simply took a nice dark blue and applied blotches of light peach onto my nails. Then, using a 1 toothpick I roughly outlined the blotches with a darker shade of pink. What helps me is if I draw a single dot in the middle of the blotch and work around from there. Don't get too carried away with the outlining or else it won't look nice.

This my friends is the best tape design I have ever done! I applied a metallic brown as a bottom coat and then waited for it to dry. Metallic nail polish usually dries really fast. After it dried, I cut skinny pieces of Scotch tape and put 3 on each nail in assorted angles. Chubster told me not to criss cross them, but personally I think it looks better that way ;D The only thing is, that you have to memorize which tape was put on last so you don't pull a piece of tape that is under another piece of tape. Usually the one strip of tape that is crossing over the 2 others is the one you pull off first. I then applied the Essie pink nail polish (which is a nice and bold color) on top of all the tapes. Then take the tape off slowly while pulling the strip away from the nail and lifting the strip up. When you do this motion, it makes the finished results of the lines look more refined. I would suggest you do one nail at a time. That means to apply the tape on each nail, paint one finger and then take the tape off. Repeat the process on each nail one finger at a time. Before something messes the artwork up, apply a clear coat and let it dry fully!

DIY Weekly: Back to School Tip

stock photo (heehee)
Here's a back to school tip! I have to carry around my spanish textbook :( Hey! Why not carry it in style!? This tip you've probably saw before. Based on my poll results, I am trying to commit to this new post type called "DIY Weekly." These are post in which I will be showing you how to do creative things "yourself." If I skip a week, forgive me or give me a comment to boost me up. Sometimes I am busy and might not be able to commit every week but, I'll certainly try! School first, then blog! Anyways, I used a paper grocery bag and turned it into a eco-friendly book cover. The process is pretty simple. All you have to do is cut the paper bag so that the whole thing is flat. I would cut the folded part on the side and work my way through from there. I also used clear scotch tape (the fat one) to tape everything up. As you can see, I taped the inside cover on the actual textbook... It will most likely tare the book a little by the end of the year, but that's what my school gets for making me have a cover in the first place! Anyways :) I then printed a little "sumpthin-sumpthin" and I was done. I hate having to carry a "piece of school" knowing that a lot of other people carried it and took it home as well. So, now it's officially "clean" in my eyes. And for some strange reason, it doesn't have pictures drawn of inappropriate "things" in the cover. I think that was more of a middle school thing :-/ Wow that was a lot of ""-ing. This clever trick was known a long time ago and is still used today. It's eco-friendly, affordable, and simply stylish! Have fun!

Coolest Bestie Ever

This is my very very very very best friend. We've been friends officially in 8th grade and some of 7th. But I've known her since I was in kindergarten. Now, she goes to the same school  as me but unfortunately we hardly get to see each other :( She is amazing though. We've always gone through things together. Things such as a really horrible math teacher, tough drama, and even bad grades. But I can honestly say, it took a while before we became besties. This girl gives me good advise and is free to text 24/7! I am super happy God gave me a friend like her. Someone who I can be honest with and be close to. I just only wish she could come with me to church more often :P She starts getting habits and traits from me and I start acting like her. word. But, nothing is just written, we actually have a great time together and still more to come!

Subways? Clean? Definitely Possible!

Hi! So, recently I have been on a ny subway. Now, all of us pretty much know how unpleasant these underground trains can be. Under the ground you feel claustrophobic, warm, and smelly. Also, you come across some rats here and there (I just saw my first subway rat! It felt strangely normal to see one...) Anyways, the subways also don't feel safe. Strange New Yorkers all around you. shivers. There was a woman behind my sister just shoving her in the train and saying "move in, move in!!! Don't just stand there!!!" Excuse me lady :) ..... DONT YOU DARE TOUCH MY SISTER LIKE THAT! huff... In conclusion, NY subways are pooey :) Of course though, it is economical, fast, and convenient :D
p.s your allowed to sit on those things!
But out there, in a place far, far away is Taiwan! They have the most cleanest, good smelling, safest subways EVAH! When it is crowded on the train, it is never disturbing to have strangers next to you (unless there koo koo) People there are generally nice, small and don't produce a lot of B.O. The air conditioner is blasting there and the seats never felt cleaner (felt... probably not clean). When you enter the subway, you see what? Oh look! It is Sushi Take-Out!!! Each little different type of sushi is individually wrapped for 50 cents each (not saying its a steal but its really yummy) Let me get back on "the train tracks" heh... get it?? Back on track... see what I did there? Okay. Also, if you don't have a transportation card, you can pay some cash and this little plastic token comes out for scanning. I seriously wouldn't mind having a picnic on the floor in there. Okay maybe I would, but I certainly wouldn't mind commuting the whole day there. You literally can not find one piece of black, circle, filthy gum on the floor. And really, can you do this in a NY subway? Therefore, subways are not all that bad :P

I HATE being SICK

One thing I absolutely hate the most is being sick. I mean, everyone is playing sports, having fun, and enjoying things while I am sniffling my nose out. I feel slow and weak. Also, my mom makes me wear long pants, socks, and sweaters. It is not fun at all. It's actually really pooey :( Well, I'm still going to school tomorrow so, we'll see how it is. But the good part about being sick is two words: less chores. No one wants there dinner being set up by a sicky person right? Or their rice made? Yeaahhhh. I guess another good thing about being sick is the rule of "you touch it, you eat it". I just touch the food and say "oops!" No, not really. That is just selffish! Thought!! Don't you hate it when you are sick and you wake up finding your nose is crusty with ... stuff? Or when you wake up and can't open you eyes because of the same "stuff". Hasn't happened to me in a while but, you never know. I also get weird dreams sometimes... anyways sorry for writing so much about this topic but I hope you have a nice day :D later!

*props to the grammar corrections ;)

Ballet of the Past

Here is a video I found back when, I was three... ("The Best Day" by Taylor Swift) haha naw! I was probably 5. This was my second dance recital of all time. It was this thing where we had a partner and here supposed to be molding them into a shape and then we switch jobs at the bell. The person being molded was the clay and the person sculpting it got to make the clay any shape they wanted. So in this video, I was the sculptor and Cuz was the clay. I remember giving her really hard moves to hold steady. But I would always change my mind about the position. I was indecisive even back then! Cuz only took ballet for a year or two. We are to the far left. You will then see my ballet teacher who still looks exactly the same today. She was the one ringing the bell. Also, excuse the no sound...well you can't really do that but in the old days, this camcorder was considered one of the "newer" models (yikes!)

I Conquered... the bus

I just thought this was pretty so it would grab your attention to read this post
Hey guys! I just took my first public bus ride alone! It actually wasn't that bad! I mean I had a whole bunch of people that I knew so it was all cool. Yeah, but it was definitely a big a accomplishment for me. The bus driver knew it was my first time when I tried shoving my metro card into the coin slot as soon as I got on (eeek!!!) She was pointing to the card slot, and I just kind of did one of those "heh heh" kind of things and went on to find a seat.
I am getting used to my high school now. I have one friend that I have the same five classes with everyday which is great. And I also met a lot of new people. I really like my school and don't know if I want to go try out for a specialized high school. I mean I will take the test to see my options but, I don't mind staying. I like it especially how my school is so close to my house. Whenever I don't feel well or have track practice I can always call my dad for a ride home and he will be there in ten minutes.
Oh yeah! Track! It is really fun and starting to get easier. I am having my first competition on the 20th. Today, we ran up a hill 20 times... I'm talking about going up the hill and down the hill and counting that as one. Then after that we ran another mile. It is really hard work and my legs felt like breaking in half. The girls on my team are really supportive! I will be panting my way up the hill and they would be like "Come on! Your almost there!" My coach is also really nice, but sometimes she gets annoyed how some people dont make it to the practices so she makes us run more :P So I am finally settling down in this first full week of high school. Sometimes you'll see a few gangsters here and there with a cloud of smoke lingering above them. Or girls wearing "under clothing" on the "outside" with piercings in weird places. But that just gives my the feeling of who I am and who I don't want to be. Anyways.... it's is so strange having sophomores and juniors in your class. They will be like "are you really smart??" and I think in my mind "it's not me... it's you..." but in reality I just smile and nod! But there is this really annoying sophomore boy in my geometry class that always clicks is pen and taps it on the desk and sings to the bell playing. He also burps! Did I mention that?!? But surprisingly he isn't dumb.
So thats how it is in high school. I hope you enjoy it or enjoyed it. But thats my current status on the weekdays :D

My Dad

Okay, let me tell you something about my dad. He is basically a guy version of me... or vise versa. We think alike, we talk alike, we even sneeze at the same time. But something you got to know is that my dad is always there for me and supports me in every way.
A typical teenage girl would usually grow apart from her dad or have a relationship with him but have "friends" she is concerned of more. Not in this case. I would always stay close like glue to my dad. It's so hard to explain but he just gets me! My dad likes the same things as me (except you know the girly stuff) but we both are the ones in the family like "alright! lets go!" He jogs with me, bikes with me, and does other outdoor things with me that my siblings wouldn't want to do. I guess God made me to balance my dad out. If He was the only one like that in my family, he would drive them insane! hee hee.
My dad isn't the best at math, but he helps me in a lot of other things. Like when I am feeling down or sad. He also knows the right thing to say all the time. Whether I need to know what to say to a friend when in a fight, or how to act of think towards others. He is also my families personal "bus driver"! He wouldn't appreciate me saying this but he drives us anywhere, whenever. He drives pretty fast so its all good. A lot of times my dad would say stuff like "I said what dah!" or "my RABBIT!" and I repeat "my rabbit!"Things like that are the ones I will remember forever! Or like "It's not the cruise anymore" or silly things like that. From when I was a child he would always tell my sibling and I "You are my son/daughter, whom I love, and in you, I am well pleased" Which is a verse from the bible in which God told his Son. It was really encouraging to hear that all the time from childhood :) Sometimes I get mad at my dad, but when we have conflict like that, he always talks things out with me. Or if he said or did something that he knew was not right, he would apologize afterwords.
I am so thankful that God gave me a dad like him. He would always tell me that the Father's love is so much greater than his, and it blown my mind to think how much Jesus loved me. I really look up to my dad and would love to be someone like him when I am older.
    I love you dad <3

DIY tank top

These are all the different styles you can make with this DIY tank! Kudos to Chubster for picking out that amazing jacket!

1. Get an old tank of yours. It doesn't have to be a racer back but it looks a lot better. It also doesn't have to be white either.
2. Measure 1.5 inches and then make a small dot around 1 cm. away from the hem. This will be to mark down what you cut.
3. Make a 1 cm line to show how wide you are going to cut. Be sure to use pencil for this or else the mark will show. Also the measurement depends on the width of your ribbon.
4. Now cut the small lines with your scissors
5. Iron your ribbon, ONLY IF IT NEEDS IT. You see, my ribbon is more of a  cotton fabric. If you have a satin ribbon DON't iron it or else it will melt into a hard piece of plastic...
6. Weave in your ribbon and leave 16.5 inches off
7. Do the same to the other side
8. Start tying a bow the rabbit ear style ;D but make sure not to tie it so tight that the holes stretch out
9. It should look like this with the bow hanging down
10. Now cut the excess bow to the same length and your are done! You can always add your own style to it. You cut off all the excess bow and sew it on the tank. You can add a little sparkle by sewing on sequence, anything you want really! It will just make your DIY tank a little more "Y"

Converse Nails

Judging by the poll, it looks like converse nails won! So here you go!
ps: Did these on my own nails so its easy but a little time consuming! As you can see I only did them on my left hand (I'm not going to lie it takes a looong time) but on my other hand I just did the same colors but blank :P Hey! At least I am being HONEST. I would just do it on both hands if I were you ;)

Backwalkover

This is when I was still into gymnastics but uh... not any more. I could still do a back walkover, its just that I don't like to :) but here is a baby back walkover. Enjoy!

Psalm 23

              *see bottom of long post
1 The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. 2 He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, 3 he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake. 4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. 5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. 6 Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
This verse you see here is one that is really important to me. I first come to know it because my dad told my siblings and I, that we should memorize it. When you memorize a verse you not only improve your memory, but you also take it to heart eventually. Like listening to your favorite song. You eventually memorize the lyrics and put those lyrics in your heart (for the better and for the worst). Anyways, I used this verse especially for my trip to Asia. I would pray for travel mercies, small issues, and safety. But I think God has shown me something better before asking Him what I want all the time. He has shown me that I should trust in him for it says "The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want" Can this lesson God is trying to get through to me be anymore obvious?? I really took this verse to my heart whenever I felt like I wasn't safe or felt insecure.
Inside the red structure is where the idols are
I used this verse in China when we visited the temples for the idols. There was one place they took us to where there were 2 GIANT idols. It was pretty intimidating... my dad said we don't have to see it if we don't want to. But I wanted to see with my own eyes what kind of work Satan is doing in China. I want to be concerned about it and see how much China needs help. So I think Ant (brother) and I went in mostly because of curiosity. Ant went with the rest of the group leaving me alone (THANKS A LOT! SERIOUSLY BRO!) and I was feeling eery. I was so vulnerable I jumped when turning and seeing my shadow move. shivers. But that is what Satan can do to you. He tells you that you are weak, so weak you jump at your own shadow. He tells you that you are powerless. Which is true, but with the power of our Father what can stand against right? So during my fright, I remembered "even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I shall fear no evil, for you are with me..." Which comforted me a lot.
Another time in Cambodia, when we were going back, we had some techy-diffies with Thai Air so we had to stay in Bankok for 1 night at a cool hotel. Anyways, during the shock of "delayed" next to Thai Airlines I was panicking. What if we miss our flight to NY? (2 days from then) What if we have to stay here for more days!!?? Dang it! I wanted to spend the full 2 days in Taiwan to go take the clean subways one more time! Those were the things going on in my head. I think the worst of the scenario so when it is bad, it's not that bad ;D But I also remembered a song from worship that I also think is in the bible. It was "I will be still and know you are God" That helped me a lot especially how God calmed me down by putting my family in an amazing hotel, to distract us from our worry.
*Sorry this is really long, you don't have to read the whole thing if you don't feel like it :) But I would suggest you do :D

Major NAIL TIP!

When your nail polish is clumpy
Don't get frumpy
When it gets dry
Start to realize
That there is a way
You don't have to pay (a lot)
To fix this dismay
Use nail polish remover
To make the nail polish smoother
Add a few drops
Close the top
And shake it a lot
Another tip that is helpful
Be extremely careful
Put the remover on a tissue
If you don't, It's an issue
Take the bottle and wipe the top
Keep on going and don't stop
It looks like we are out of time
I hope you enjoyed this cheesy rhyme
Want real instruction content
Just comment

Everyone is There Own Person

I think since yesterday I've been having one of those "sigh..." type of days where nobody understands me at times (what a typical teenager). I got into a disagreement with Chubster (still a kid at heart ;) We both know how to tick each other off and I figured out that when one of us is in a bad mood, the other is most likely in a bad mood too :( Not all the time though. Usually when she is in a bad mood I stay away from her, but the day before I slept late and woke up early for track and was vulnerable to catch the moodyness. The next day my dad went to work. My dad is the only one who really gets me in times like this. We think extremely alike and have similar personalities. Also, my mom and my brother are alike, along with my sister. My sister gets me at times, but only for the inside jokes we share. So my dad knows what I'm thinking before I say it out loud. But unfortunately he wan't there :( That day was pooey for me.
You know how you are having a disagreement with a sibling and then you give up letting the sibling get what she... I mean he/she wants? And then you try to get them in trouble later on? Yeah that only works sometimes... but what I've learned is that everyone is there own person. If your brother, sister, or friend acts a certain way, thats the way they are. It's up to them to change and you to tell them constantly. But if they don't want to change, there is nothing you can do about it. Same for myself. If the people I love such as my family tell me that I need to chill, I think I have to go and find my peace of mind. Listening to people has always been my weak point, but I have to learn the hard way. People that are not from your family won't tell you in a loving way that you were a jerk the other day (trust me).
Later on before bed, Chubster and I had to discuss our problems. An actual discussion! Where one person talks and the other listens (vise versa). It was really productive because we made up at the end. And not the type of "making up" where we just forget it ever happened. The type where we acknowledge our own faults and forgive each other. During a fight sometimes I just feel like giving up on loving someone the way God did. But thats not the way it works. Towards the end we have to set the example for others. Like when Chubster got a small flower pot for herself (plant growing contest), I still bought her a snack from the Chinese Super Market! I have to always remember that Chubster is still young, and needs an older sister to show her the way even though she's a tween. When she didn't want to clean our room and my mom told her to do so, she got really upset at my mom. So when I talked to her and said we were going to do this together she felt a lot better. Like the cute toddler she used to be!!!!!
So that has been your update of "What Rachel Learned This Week" stay tuned, yay... But really, everything is true about what I feel. The people we love mean the most, so don't ruin that relationship from one fight. (I'm not talking specifically on Chubster and I, but maybe in the future or other examples in your life)

Thank you Marshall's

At Marshalls (>.< free advertising) I also got some really cheap (in $) track wear! My coach told my to go there for good quality and low price (again >.<) The pants are really cool and as you can see they reflect lights. The orange outfit goes well together and the shorts are reversible!!! The blue shirt is really well made. I'm so happy for the future in my track life ^-^ Not because of the clothes I meant to say... but because it started getting easier for me and fun. Yeah, that's what I meant :)

Essie Nail Polish

Notice the bubbles in the background :o
I have been staring at this nail polish at CVS for a very long time... I bought this from Marshalls! I got them for $3.00 each which is actually pretty good for the brand Essie. Any nail polish under $2.00 with a unfamiliar brand, you should stay away from. I love this brand because they have amazing colors and the nail polish is like opaque water! It is so thin but bold!!! I LOVE IT <3<3<3

Trick for Two

I got this move from a video I found. We had Chubster on the bottom (tallest, heaviest), me on top (bravest, smallest) and Cuz video taping (steadiest, coolest phone :P) We had to practice the dynamics of this several times before we got it right. Sarah is supposed to move her feet to support me and bring up with a half back roll. We got hurt so many times, that when we finished a perfect one I was like "Hey! We didn't get hurt!" and that was a big accomplishment for us ^-^ I fell on my head on the floor once, and Chubster got stepped on the face by Cuz but at the end, it's all good bro. I DON'T advice you try this AT ALL! Yeah we shouldn't even be doing it because none of us are taking classes but we have a mat! And we used the third person to spot and make sure everything is under control... somewhat. We also used to take classes together.
Ahh... gymnastics. I have so many mixed feelings about it. I think I'm pretty good at it and would do well if I tried but ever since I heard it stunts your growth, I stopped. But I love it and it is so fun to know what your body could do but, I don't like being in a bridge kickover, backwalkover, or handstand for too long. I also don't like beam :P Other than that I think it is sooooo fun but I finalized that I'm only going to improve on the basic things and flexibility because I can actually use that in dance. So I have concluded that gymnastics as a sport is not for me, but gymnastics as a hobby sounds just about right :D

Central Park Ballet

there is my teacher to the far left

A thing I haven't posted yet was my love for dance! Ever since I was 4 years old I took dance lessons from the same teacher. At first I loved it well... I was 4. But in elementary school I started to hate it. I had classes after school on Friday so I wanted to watch Lilo and Stitch but instead I had to go to ballet class :( During middle school I started to love it again because it is nice to express your dance in movement. Although there isn't a lot of the acrobatic/gymnastic stuff that I like, it is just as good. In some dances we do do gymnastic stuff so YAY. So yeah, this is a picture from Central Park the Bethesda Garden. This dance is called the "Three Graces" by Isodora Duncan. My teacher likes a lot of Duncan pieces because it is more of how you dance it than the actual choreography. Thats me to the right, Tess in the middle, and Anastasia to the left. All of us took dance at a really young age so we are now the "big girls" of the dance school along with a few others. Unfortunately I have to pick between ballet and track unless I could do them both while getting good grades at school. Huff! Schoooooooooool >:(

Bar Code Nails/Jail Nails

By popular request (heehee) here are Bar Code Nails. They are easy with a skinny black brush and look pretty cool. These are Chubster's nails so it might be harder to do on your own :( but it's pretty self  explanatory. You can print out reference if you need to but it is simply just different widths of black lines. It looks pretty busy but it is a fun design. Enjoy!
