At the Beach with Besties

Me, Ecca, and Ha  :P
Super fun day at the beach with two of your best friends. What can be any better?? We've been planning it for the whole summer and finally we did it! Being with friends is really important to maintain the friendship. This fall, I'll be in a different school as them and I'm really going to miss them :( But like Ha said, we'll still make it work somehow :D

Chubster did this for the "experience" I told her it was :P She has some curves!!

Never to be Forgotten

It has now been around a 2 weeks and a half since I came back from Poipet, Cambodia (okay what is really sad is that blogspot doesn't recognize "Poipet" as an actual word :O) Anyways, where was I... oh right! Around 2 weeks or so since I've been in Cambodia and I find myself always thinking about them. Usually, once I meet knew people in a new country I fly back to my normal life and forget about them but, it's different this time. Every single day I would come across a thought about them. It's really hard to explain but I think I developed a certain compassion for people around me. It's like God planted this experience in my heart so I could remember it everyday.
The most sweetest people, children, even babies I've ever met. Through their struggle of poverty, government, and education these people can still manage to smile at you. China for instance is a huge country with a lot of people. I would have to say, that the majority of China's people are not satisfied with their economic status. The "not so rich" people have to work very hard every day to earn a living. So, when we came for the tour, the people would be really rude and look at us like "rich American" that have money to travel to different places. (Sooo sorry if you're from China D:) But what I'm trying to say is that the people of Cambodia and China are in a way similar but, very different. The people of Cambodia would accept their lifestyle as it is and still have a heart for others (at least the ones that I met). The people of China accept their lifestyle but compare it to others and in anger, be rude to them. Again, so sorry. To make it up, China has really good hotels! Did that fix it?
I'm really happy I got to travel this year out of the country. It's really different when you see how others live. It really is! People of different classes, race, and culture really open up your mind to the things that aren't only from America.

The Bow

You've might have seen this before but, anyways this is a bow as you can see. It is sort of easy if you have good bobby pins and longish hair. Personally I wouldn't where this to school because it is a bit time consuming for me but, to a special event I would :) So if you want a brief tutorial, you know where to go (comment box).

Newspaper Nails

Introducing newspaper nails. They are sooo cute and easy! These are my friend's nails but I did them on mine and they are just as simple. It takes a little while to fully master but, it is definitely possible so here are the instructions.
Materials
  • Light colored base coat
  • Clear top coat
  • Newspaper
  • Rubbing alcohol
  • Small cup
Firstly.... Apply the bottom base coat and wait until fully dry
2.  Dip a small piece of newspaper in the cup filled with rubbing alcohol
3. Put the newspaper on your nail but not too hard. Like a tattoo! The kid kind.
4. Leave it on while applying some more alcohol on top with a cotton ball. Keep it there for around 20 seconds. Also, make sure that the whole nail is equally bold. So, tap the newspaper on your nail.
5. Carefully peel it off and there you have it. Newspaper on your nail
6. A top coat is always necessary to give it a finished shine ;D

Super Easy Roll Up

This hair style is soo easy to do and takes around 5-10 minutes. Honestly pretty hair takes some time! If you want me to put up a tutorial, comment on this post. This hairstyle is casual but elegant and is great for yoga or stretching. It uses some bobby pins as you can see but the hair style is sturdy that way. You might be wondering how does she do it? I'll let you in on a secret: head band. This hairstyle also looks a lot better with curly hair but ehh it works for straight hair too.

Zebra Glitz Nails

The finished product and a real finger nail :O

I'm using a free Impress sample as my model ^-^ So first I used a skinny black brush which you can find anywhere in a drugstore. When you make your first mark, make the beginning of the line a little thicker and naturally stroke the brush to make a uneven line that is skinnier at the tips. Alternate lengths on the same side and then do the same of the other side. Yeah... I messed up on the right side. Heh heh. But, you can hardly tell from afar. For the empty spaces draw a few extra strokes but try not to overdo it even though it is really fun. I kind of did this backwards but do the finishing glitter before the clear coat. Apply the glitter on some of the black lines but not all of them. Now, for the clear coat it is perfectly fine to over stroke the brush over the nail several times. That would make the black line to bleed and cause a nice transition like a real zebra print. It makes the nail line look more softer and real. Just wipe the black off  your clear coat afterwards. And there it is. ZEBRA PRINT. If you have any questions comment, and I will be glad to answer them :)

Track

Okay, so this year I want to join track at my school. Well, actually I'm already on the team. YAY! But let me tell you something, IT IS HARD WORK. Every 2 days in a weeks  my team and I meet at a park and run a lot. My coach is there too. It is really fun to get sweaty and tired but know what you just accomplished. We run for around 2 hours and 30 minutes (with breaks) and then go home and take a shower. Running is so fun and good for you too. Okay some of you might think that running is boring and yeah I can see your point. But, its nice to know what you can do. For example, my team and I run a .6 mile track a couple of times and a .8 mile track occasionally. I would've never known I could run that long without trying. Its really fascinating in what we are when we try and when we don't. I guess it's like a Christian life. When we dont try and are not motivated in knowing God, then we would never know what God has in store for us. We have to let Jesus into our lives. That has kind of been my goal this year. To reach out to God so He can work in my life. Whether it is joining praise team or simply reading the bible. How could we know what it's like to live with Jesus when we are not letting Him in? How could I know my capability of running if I'm a coach potato? It is all connected my friends. The first step in being obedient with God is getting baptized. I decided to make that decision this year on Easter Sunday. It was definitely the right decision to publicly announce my love for Christ. Wow I went off in a tangent! But, that is what has been on my mind recently so there you have it :)

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle Rabbit Style

I am very happy to say, that forevercrazyrabbit has merchandise! I present hand crafted carrots made with shredded paper and love! Okay, these really aren't for sale but, I gave them to people secretly in their classrooms at church you know, for advertising! But I'm so happy they came out the way that they did. They are cute and SUPER comfortable!
Now, the story of crazy rabbit is one to remember for the rest of your life. Hmm... I kind of forgot it but my family always called me rabbit because I was really white and soft when I was little. Anyways, now, I am still a rabbit. I think it was in the car when I did something crazy and Chubster was like ... WAIT NO! I remember. I was taking a nap in the car and I was woken up by Cbubster who kept opening my eye lids. She left me alone for a while and I continued "fake sleeping" then I all of a sudden opened my eyes and started saying "jah jah jah jah jah" And she was all like "Huh? You crazy rabbit!" I'm not sure how the illustration of the crazy rabbit became but I am definitely sure it was the best one I made.

Sushi Nails!

This here my friends is the first ever sushi nails. I did them for Chubster for her birthday! Cute little onigiris, sushi rolls, and shrimp on rice neatly planted on her nails. If you want the instructions, just post a comment. Haha yeah they aren't that neat. I also don't really have a range of colors (as you can see with the purple). A trick I used is with a toothpick and bobby pin  for the eyes or detailed stuff like the shrimp lines or faces. Yeah the faces, I rushed them because we had to leave someplace :( I also mixed some drops of colors like the shrimp. I mixed a skin peach color with very little hot pink and got a more bolder color. I LOVE the onigiris though! They are so fat and actually the easiest to d out of all the nails. If you want, you could make all of your nails onigiris! Yup, so thats all I got to say and remember, if you want the instructions just leave a comment :)

Soooo Typical

Watching TV while eating some good duck wings
This is what we did after whale watching in Taiwan. And this is our hotel. To get to the hotel garage, you had to go down a car elevator. It gave me the creeps.

Fish Tail Pull Back

This hairstyle took a lot of work! As you may know, fishtail braids are pretty, but very time consuming. Especially with little amount of hair. But I managed and came up with this! This p.s is the longest my hair has ever been but I got it trimmed :P Trims are good. Even though your hair is getting a bit shorter, it feels a lot more healthier. I tend to have a lot of split ends and my hair doesn't weigh down on my shoulders. Instead it curves up. But once I got it trimmed it felt softer and thinner and that is why trims are good! The end.

Explosion, Tree and POLKA DOT nail designs

I used tape and a lot of glitter nail polish. But make sure the bottom coat is dry!! I don't advise this design. Its tricky :-| That's why I only did it to 1 nail. Heehee. But for the most part, it's really pretty and ... tough!

This is a tree. For me, it is really easy to draw a design with my right hand, on my own hand. Maybe it's because I like to write and draw with my paper rally slanted. This nail design is good for the one nail style I did. Don't do it on all of your nails. You hand would just be a sparkly forest :O

This is a success. YESSS! I used a bobby pin which is a very good tool for making dots.  The base color is my favorite nail polish color but unfortunately, we ran out of it :( The polka dot design is cute and playful to wear. Its intriguing to the eye when you see a hand done pattern on your nail.

Banana Bread

So while I was in Cambodia Chubster, one of the missionaries, and I made banana bread! Her recipe is delicious and very simple. The only different thing about the one we made, was that it was made with duck eggs!

Ingredients
3 small ripe bananas
1/3 cup oil
1/4 cup water
1 tsp. lime juice/lemon juice
1 cup of sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2 cups flour

Let's get started!
Muffins: 12 minutes
Pan: 38 minutes
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
  2. The order of the ingredients being put in is irrelevant to the results. So start putting in the ingredients in a large bowl. (For a little fun, put the baking soda on top of where you squeezed the lime juice)
  3. Stir until everything is mixed together
  4. Now if you are making muffins, you might want to grease the pan first.
  5. If you are making a pan... still grease that too
  6. Put it in the oven and take out when fully raised and golden brown
