Contact Case Lip Balm (Laugh Your Pants Off Video)

Sorry! I meant 30 seconds not minutes! Unless you want your lip balm to start boiling on your spoon.

Mason Jars

Let me start off this post with a short story :)

One day Ma and I went grocery shopping. I was in a mood for some pickles. My favorite type of pickles would be bread and butter which are the type of pickles that are sweet. The sour ones are supposed to be in sandwiches. I think that's how it goes... Anyways, I bought some pickles and took it home. Since my stomach was hungry I ate the whole jar. Best pickle feast of my life. Of course I didn't feel so good afterwards but it was worth it! What was left, was an empty mason jar sitting there on the table. Don't you think it is a waste to dispose perfectly unbroken glass in a cute shape? Light bulb! That is when I made it into a pencil jar! A perfectly wide shaped jar can be used as a pencil holder for the dining room! This wasn't much of a story but the idea was so straight in my face. Many doubted my creativity (ack-hemmm Chubster) but could not foresee the practicality of this piece of storage.
Before the 19th century, people have been struggling upon the preservation of food. Many methods such as freezing, salting, and air sealing food have some set backs when it comes to the taste of the food. People stored grains and vegetables in these jars in a cool area. Who knew something this simple could be so useful? Eventually in 1809, a Frenchman names François developed a way to keep cooked food preserved.
Enough with the history of this item, what about how cute it looks?!?

1. More Storage

Just like what I did, using a pickle holder for a cotton holder is genius ;) This clever trick can be used for pencils, bathroom items, crafts, and so much more. When you use a mason jar for something other than pickles, it somehow feels more organic. It's a really weird feeling but whenever I use a mason jar it makes me feel homey and country like. It is very strange but it makes me feel happy :D
2. Growing Life

Nothing feels more natural than growing vibrant colors of earth in a jar. Like I said before, this trick would instantly make your mood a little brighter. It is actually proven that colors in your environment can change the way you feel. My room is purple, which is a color that releases stress (supposedly.) You don't just have to grow herbs and grass, you can plant some flowers in it too. Soil is optional. When someone special gives you some flowers, why not use the jar as a vase?

3. Glitter it Up

This simple DIY project is so easy and fun to create. How adorable can it get? Simply crazy glue your little figurine onto the lid of the jar. Next, put water and sparkles into the glass. Once the figurine is tightly inserted, put some glue on the top of the jar where the lid goes and tightly seal the two together.
4. Floating Fires

Lastly, we have here a small candle floating in water. This unique find would be great for summer picnics. I've never tried this idea but the candle should have some metal holder below it. This picture doesn't show a metal cup like holder underneath the candle. I don't think the candle will last for very long because it will lose it's shape. However, this beautiful piece of outdoor furniture can light up the dark crisp air of the summer.

There you have it! Four creative ideas you can try using a pickle jar/ mason jar. I hope you try some of these out one day. Mason jars just make me feel inspired and

Happy Valentines Day

I can't type as fast as before. That stinks. But at least I don't have to copy notes, do homework, and take tests anytime soon!! Today at school so many people got roses from other people. ..................... oops. My hand relaxed on the keyboard for a second or 21 periods. Did you get a Valentines gift from somebody special? Well I did! Love you too Ma!

Oh Pooey

Obviously I can't do as much as I would like to. My arm doesn't hurt as badly as it did yesterday. Thanks for helping me out and supporting me through it all! Now I just have to learn to become ambidextrous!

30 Day Video Challenge: Day 6

My Mom

Moms are the greatest people in the world to some. They cook, they love, they nurture. My mom in particular, cooks the greatest meals. She has a tendency to add a little twist to a recipe to make it healthy and at the same time delectable. My mom loves my whole family a lot too. And lastly she loves children in general. Ever since my brother was born, my mom has loved our family endlessly. Sometimes I feel like I don't do as much things for her like she does for me.
If you lived in my house somethings you have to know about my mom is that she has some bad habits such as eating instant noodles and buying stuff. My family and I also call her "MA" (in a weird stuffed up voice) to annoy her. When she makes a mistake, does something embarrassing, or has a crazy idea we say "Ah Ma!" We call them Ma Moments. It is obviously not the same in words.
The thing that I appreciate from my Ma the most would be how she supports me all the way. When I was around 10 years old, I loved the clothing store Justice. Now, I think it is a colorful mess of monkeys and fur. But even though my mom probably thought the same thing when I was 10, she would bring me there and would still buy me things from there even though it gave her a headache. Furthermore, she isn't bossy at all. It is sort of interesting that I found this article having to deal with really directive moms who don't let their children make their own decisions.

"Children flourish when they have opportunities to make choices about what they do, particularly in play situations," said Jean Ispa, lead author of the study and professor of human development and family studies at MU. "Mothers who are highly directive do not allow that kind of choice. In our study, the children were playing with some toys, and the very directive mothers were making the decisions about how to play, what to play and how quickly to play."

For example, during play with her child, a highly directive mother might make her toddler put the plastic cow in the toy barn through the barn's door instead of through its window. If a child is playing with a pretend kitchen set, the mom might not let the child touch the fake burners on the stove. Mothers often think they are helping their children by correcting them, but they are limiting the children's creativity and possibly making their children enjoy being with them less, Ispa said.

Wasn't that cute?  I'm pretty sure I didn't play with toy cows but you get the point. Moms that are less directive seem to have more of a healthy relationship with their children. I realized recently that she let us become whatever person we wanted to be. Even though it took a lot of time for us to "mature" she was patient and always supporting us from stage one. If you are reading this Ma you are SPECTACULAR! I love youuuu!

The Chubster Post: 1D!!!!

Emergawsh!  So, you may have already heard of a totally awesome, cool, talented, boy band ONE DIRECTION. Well, if you haven't heard of them, where have you been! One direction is a international breakthrough :O

This is the best member Liam Payne. He is the MOST talented and the coolest. Liam's birthday is August 29, 1993. And Crazy rabbit chose this photo. Its not recent. Now he has super short hair :( He first auditioned for X factor in 2008. Then he re-auditioned with the other members of one direction in 2010. Yeah... so what else am I suppose to write???
Liam: "I would hang out with some friends."
Harry: "What kind of friends, Liam?"
Liam: "I don't have any friends. Imaginary

                                                                  friends." (Tour Diary 4)

Now this is just Niall Horan. He's okay. He sings well but average. Like, Crazy rabbit sings better...jk...And again, crazy rabbit chose a very UN-recent photo. Now his hair is up. But Niall is special because he's the only one direction member from Ireland. (:D) Niall doesn't really sing much in the songs, but he's still a good singer. Niall's birthday is September 13, 1993.
"I like anything that's edible..." (Favorite Things)

This is Zayn Malik. He was born is January 12, 1993. He's a good singer (not as talented as Liam though) He has a lot of tattoos >:O That's a turnoff. His dad is half Pakistani. That's cool. And AGAIN Crazy Rabbit chose a very UN-recent photo. His hair is like a hobo-rat-racoon look now. I really dont know how that would be "cute" SORRY ZAYN MALIK LOVERS!
"Vas Happenin?" (Common Quote)

That is Harry Styles. I think this is Crazy Rabbits favorite. She's kind off hinting that to me. He's an AMAZING singer. Not as good as Liam in my opinion. His birthday is February 1, 1994 making him the youngest One direction member at age 18.
" I dont think you can really define love"

This is Louis Tomlinson. According to the poll, this was every bodies least favorite. His birthday is on December 24, 1991. Isn't it so cool how his birthday was on Christmas eve??? He's the oldest one direction member at age 21. (he's practically a adult) He has a really.. um..special...voice? It sounds like a little kid with a man voice. Yeah that's what it sounds like.
"I like girls who...eat carrots!" (X Factor Video Diary 2)
"Swag mastah from Doncastah!" (common quote)
I had to post 2 quotes because they were kind of funny. :)

Until Next time,
CHUBSTER

PS. Whose your favorite One Direction member?
 Comment it!!!

Whoops!

This was at my winter ballet performance. I was so embarrassed D: Now I have a huge bruise on my knee :( And it didn't help how that disgusting little mouse was cracking up at me!! Deeply humiliated >:( This years performance was not so great in my opinion because we didn't use classical nutcracker music. Instead we used a jazz mix. I've got to say though, that this was the most enjoyable performance for me out of all the years I've been doing this.

Matted Ombre Nails

Hey guys! Enjoy my latest video on ombre nails. This nail tutorial was pretty messy for me. Usually, people would paint on a base coat and sponge on a different color on the tip of the nail. honestly, that is a better alternative for beginners. I need to study some vocabulary so I'm going to pick a random card from my 500 SAT words and use it in a sentence. Randomly picking one... Crazy Rabbit issued a mandate that whoever wants more videos must join this site.
Anyways, it seems like the right time to give you guys an update of what has been going on in my life. I got really sick for a day because I ate too much fetuccini alfredo for dinner (or it was bad sauce.) During that night I also ate a lot of desserts with egg whites in them. Can that even make your stomach flip?? Let's just say, my record of not throwing up in 8 years is now broken. Last Friday some of my youth group and I went to a gym and had a lot of fun. We played basketball, volleyball and things of that sort. It was a lot of fun to be with really nice people. When we came home I nailed my front walkover! Gymnastics isn't my thing anymore, but for dance purposes I must maintain the skills :).
The past week I also took my finals which I didn't do so bad on. I have also been studying about the Holy Spirit which is a very interesting topic. Its's still a bit of a mystery to me on exactly what it is. Ever since Ant said it was a little flame on top of peoples heads it really confused me :-/
I don't really stop and think about what an awesome brother I have. When I was sick, instead of going shopping with the rest of my family he stayed behind because he knows I don't like staying home alone. I can't imagine having a rotten older brother whos major priorities in life are music, girls, and zits. Shivers. And that was my update on the past week. I hope you enjoy the video!

China/ Taiwan/ Thailand/Cambodia Trip Pictures in Chronological Order

On the LONG plane ride trying desperately to kill time and enjoy things at the moment :( Chubster and I made a game where I drew a really ugly girl and she fixes her up. It's really fun. You should try it!

At Nanjing about to eat some of the best duck meat I have ever tasted in my life. Our bus is in the background along with some mountains. Do you see the visor of Chubster's head? We called it a "peckle". When we went to Taiwan it fell in a lake... too soon.... still... too soon D':
Almost in Cambodia. Stopping for some noodles which were tasty!

Lois the cutest baby in the whole entire world of the universe! She's really chubby and adorable. Look at her chubby knuckles! And she was teething at the time (awwww <3<3)
While we were stuck in Bangkok, our air plane service gave us an awesome hotel to stay in for a night. Awesome.

In a typical Cambodian market. Chubster was feeling claustrophobic :-/ Dang, we look out of place.

On the roof of Mom's uncle's apartment with his dog Pei Pei (naughty in English) doing laundry. Pei Pei was the first one in the elevator and the first one out (such manners!) So young but the laziest dog ever...

At a Taiwan museum about stuff I don't really remember now. Wait... what is that man doing to the left in our pic...?
